INTERMEDIATE DIVISION

AGES: 11-13 years old

Intermediate levels 1 & 2 expand on the basic fundamentals of the Junior levels. Students are challenged by the introduction of more complex adage, allegro and turning movements in preparation for advancement to the major levels. Pointe and pre-pointe training increases gradually throughout this division. Class schedules intensify as well as increased participation in rehearsals, performances and special events. Performance rehearsals are scheduled on Saturday afternoons.

Required Attire for Girls: DKCBA logo-wear uniform Blue leotard, pink footed-tights, pink ballet shoes with ribbons sewn on, white hip placement belt. Hair must be pulled back off the face and secured in a neat bun with no large bows or flowers in the hair. Black Jazz shoes with no heel. Black character shoes and black character skirt 18″ long.

Required Attire for Boys: DKCBA Uniform logo-wear White fitted-shirt, black shorts, white socks, white ballet shoes. Black Jazz shoes with no heel.
